In the book A Night Without Armor, poems By: Jewel, the poem, The Bony Ribs of Adam reaches out to me a lot. My favorite line is, “But now how my belly hollows and aches craving seed craving kisses but outside the road hisses, and I find myself packing girlishness in an old leather bag.”(pg.2) I like this line because it reminds me of when I was a little girl and how I tried to run away because I was grounded. What I did was I toke a stick and tied a bandanna around it, stuffed it with pictures and a few clothes, and food, then I tried to go out my window when my mom came around the corner and caught me.
